On the kind invitation and the support of the Government of Cameroon, the African Telecommunications Union (ATU) is organizing from 29 to 31 January 2007 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, an African information meeting on the second Conference Preparatory Meeting (CPM07-2) of the 2007 World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-07).

The CPM07-2 will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 19 February to 2 March 2007 for the purpose of preparing the CPM Report to WRC-07 and to address preparatory studies for the following Conference. WRC-07 is scheduled to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 22 October to 16 November 2007, after the Radiocommunication Assembly 2007, that will be convened in Geneva, Switzerland, from 15 to 19 October 2007.

The Yaoundé information meeting is organized at the experts’ level with the main objective to initiate the evolvement of African common proposals and positions for the work of the WRC-07.
