I have the honour to inform you that the ATU Consultation Meetings (ACM) convened at the venue of the second Conference Preparatory Meeting (CPM-02) in Geneva on 18-29 November 2002 established a process for evolving African Common Proposals (AFCPs) derived from the CPM final report to the 2003 World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-03) scheduled to take place in Geneva in June/July 2003.

I have the honor to inform you that an Africa Working Group (AWG/WSIS) to consult and prepare draft African Common Proposals (AFCPs) for submission as part of Africa’s Contributions to the World Summit on Information Society scheduled to take place in Geneva in 2003 and in Tunis in 2005 (WSIS 2003/2005) was established by the 9th meeting of the Africa Group attending the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in Marrakesh, Morocco in September/ October 2002 (PP-02).
