At the kind invitation of the Kenyan Government, the African Telecommunications Union (ATU) organized the African Preparatory Meeting for PP-06 in Nairobi, Kenya, from 19 to 21 June 2006. The main objective of the meeting was to evolve African Common Proposals for the work of the PP-06, scheduled to take place in Antalya, Turkey, from 6 to 24 November 2006. The meeting was attended by 70 delegates from 23 African countries, Saudi Arabia, ECOWAS, CEPT, ITU and the RCC.
