Request to endorse draft African Common Proposals for the Second Session of the Regional Radiocommunication Conference (RRC06)

I have the honour to inform you that the Africa Region Preparatory Expert Group Meeting for drafting the African Common Proposals (AFCPs) for the second session of the Regional Radiocommunication Conference that will be held in Geneva in 2006 (RRC06) was successfully held on 27-29 March 2006 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, at the kind invitation of the Government of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire.

I have the pleasure of informing you that thirty eight AFCPs have been drafted. The purpose of this letter is to request you to endorse the draft AFCPs by filling in the appropriate questionnaires contained in the attached document. Kindly return the duly filled in endorsement form to the General Secretariat as soon as possible to enable the Secretariat analyse them and send them together with the co-signatory form to ITU as Africa’s contribution for the work of the RRC-2006 scheduled in Geneva on 15 May –16 June 2006.

We look forward to receiving the endorsement forms duly processed as above as soon as possible.
