ATU ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL MEETING
NAIROBI, KENYA
23-27 APRIL,2001

The ATU Administrative Council is a constitutional organ of the Union with the responsibility of guiding the administration of the Union including review and approval of the programme of activities, the annual budget and adoption of all necessary measures to facilitate the functioning of the Union.

It meets in an annual session.

Other highlights of the session will be:

An information forum covering matters of interest to ATU such as:

• OAU regional integration programmes under the African Economic Community(AEC) ,
• ITU presentation on perspectives of the Centres of Excellence and other regional initiatives,
• presentations on Cross- Border Projects ( Satellite, Fibre-optic and Microwave ) ,
• African Connection Centre and others.
