WTSA-2004 in
Florianapolis, Brazil on 5-14 October 2004
The World Telecommunication Standardisation Assembly (WTSA), the
highest organ for the Telecommunication Standardisation Sector,
convenes every four years. The upcoming Assembly in October 2004, in
Brazil will lay out ITU-T's strategy for the next four years, decide
on the new structure of the ITU-T Study Groups, and review the work
of ITU-T since the last WTSA in 2000.
In order to build "Africa's Voice" for this important conference,
it will be necessary for us to cooperate and establish structures
for consultation and timely evolution of African Common Proposals.
All Member States are kindly requested to establish National
Preparatory Committees for WTSA-2004 to review current
Study Group reports
and commence the process to determine national positions on key
recommendations of the Study Groups.
A preparatory meeting of African countries for the WTSA-2004 is
planned for 23-25 June 2004 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. (more...)

Standardisation Advisory Group (TSAG) has been prepared by Mr
Zourmba Aboubakar of Cameroon, vice chairman of TSAG representing
